The position is based in Cape Town.

Main Job Function
To align logistics and warehouse activities to the companys business objectives
To identify business opportunities to improve customer service, delivery and costs in the logistics department
To identify, design and implement logistics operational processes and detailed metrics to optimise
logistical solutions and to optimise outward bound supplies
To manage day to day operations of the warehouse, stores and distribution
To identify logistical issues, assign responsibilities and resolve issues within defined time limits
Recruiting and training of staff when necessary
Motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met
Interacting and communicating with other departments, customers and senior management
Overseeing stock control, planning, picking, packing and processing orders
Responding to and dealing with customer communication by email, fax and telephone
Keeping stock control systems up to date
Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Visiting customers to monitor the quality of service they are receiving
Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment
Overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment

Minimum Requirements
Degree or National Higher Diploma in Logistics Management
5 years related experience in supply chain / logistics in a manufacturing environment
Experience in Navision advantageous
Experience of Warehouse Management Systems

Salary: R28 000.00 – 32 000.00 CTC per month negotiable depending on experience
