Job Vacancies in a Fully Furnished and Serviced Apartments in Nairobi
On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit the following qualified candidates in positions that are now immediately available at their new fully furnished and serviced apartments in Nairobi.
1. Property Manager
Duties and responsibilities:
Over see the overall running of the Apartments and Health Club.
Supervise staff and delegate duties as required.
Handle and address customer /tenant’s complaints.
Overall marketing of the apartments and health club.
Co-ordinate the service providers and ensure efficient service provision.
Prepare Monthly administrative and financial progress reports to the client.
Serve as a liaison officer between the client arid the managers.
Make monthly reports on market analysis to the client and advise on emerging trends.
Qualifications:-
Candidates for this post will be required to posses a degree or HND in the following fields:
Hotel and Hospitality management, or Business management/Administration or Social Sciences/Humanities/land economics.
In addition to the above, they should be:-
Computer Literate especially in Ms Office suit operating systems.
Proficiency in Accounting packages,.e.g. QuickBooks, Pastel, etc.This is desirable but not mandatory.
Exposure to Property management / Hotel and Logistical management systems or equivalent is mandatory.
Minimum of two years experience in Property management/ Hospitality industry.
Possession of professional Administrative qualifications such as CPS (K) or equivalent will be a definite advantage.
2. Assistant manager
Duties and responsibilities:
The Assistant Manager will be the principle assistant to the Property manager and will assist the manager in daily activities and more specifically on finance/Accounting and logistical management functions.
Qualifications:-
Candidates for this post will be required to posses a Diploma in the following fields: Hotel and hospitality management, or Business management/Administration or equivalent.
Accounting qualifications CPA (Part II), ACCA II or equivalent.
In addition to the above, they should have the following qualifications:-
Computer Literate especially in Ms Office Suit operating systems.
Proficiency in Accounting packages, .e.g. QuickBooks, Pastel, etc. is mandatory.
Exposure to Property management accounting software or equivalent will be a definite advantage.
Property management /Hospitality industry experience of two years and above are desirable.
3. Receptionist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Handling walk in clients
Handling telephone enquiries and bookings
Secretarial work
Processing and attending to clients complaints
Signing in and ushering members to the club.
Assigning Health Club members their cards.
Handling the Health Club members Accounts.
Handling Health Club Members complaints and suggestions.
Qualifications:-
Candidates for this position will be required to be:
In possession of Certificate/Diploma in business administration/Secretarial studies.
Computer literate with bookkeeping/administrative support and secretarial experience.
Excellent and in good command of spoken and written English.
Marketing and Public relations skills a definite advantage.
4. Gym Instructor
Duties and responsibilities:
In charge of all the Gym and squash court equipments.
Instructing all clients requiring his/her services professionally.
Ensuring/Assisting in the proper use of equipment.
Responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of equipment both at the gym and the squash court.
Advising management on the maintenance of the Gym facilities.
Administering first Aid to clients who may sustain injures at the gym and squash court.
Qualifications
Candidates for this position will have a Physical education Degree/Diploma from a recognized University or equivalent qualification, and/or have at least five years experience with reputable institutions as Gym Instructor.
5. Assistant Gym Instructor
Duties and responsibilities:
Assists the Gym instructor in his duties in the gym and squash court.
Conduct Aerobics sessions.
Administer first Aid
Qualifications:-
Candidates for this position will have a Physical education Degree/Diploma from a recognized University or equivalent qualification, and/or have at least five years experience with reputable institutions as Gym Instructor.
6. Electrician
Duties and responsibilities:
Handle all the property electrical issues.
Report all electrical concerns and issues to the manager.
Qualifications:-
Candidates for this position will be expected to posses a HND (Electrical engineering)
With three years experience and registered with the Ministry of Energy.Those with appropriate Government trade test certificates will also be considered.
7. Plumber
Duties and responsibilities:
Report any plumbing issues and concerns to management.
Give advice and suggestions on plumbing to management to run the properties more effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications:-
Candidates for this position will posses a diploma/certificate in Water engineering/Plumbing or equivalent and have at least two years experience. Those with appropriate grade test certificates and Ministry of Public Works registration will also be considered.
8. Swimming pool attendant/ Life saver
Duties and responsibilities:
Cleaning and maintaining the swimming pool.
Acting as a life saver.
Administer First Aid services.
Qualifications:-
Candidates for this position will possess a Diploma/Certificate in Physical education/life guard course or an equivalent coupled with five years experience from reputable institutions in pool attendance/life saving work.
9. Masseur/Sauna attendant
Duties and responsibilities:
Give clients a professional massage
Attending to Clients using the Sauna.
Qualifications:-
Candidates will have a Certificate in massage therapy from a recognized institution with relevant professional experience.
10. House Keepers
Duties and responsibilities:
Changing bed linen.
Changing towels.
Laundering the linen and towels.
Cleaning the apartment windows and doors.
Dusting and cleaning all the rooms in the apartments.
Tiding up the rooms.
Cleaning any dirty cutlery in the kitchen.
Qualifications:-
Candidates for this position are expected to hold a Diploma in Hospitality from a recognized institution and have at least two years experience in a busy hospitality setting.
11. Laundry Attendants
The laundry attendant will operate the commercial laundry that will include ironing of clothes and linen.
Qualifications:-
Candidates for this position will have a Certificate in hospitality and extensive and proven experience in the provision of large scale mechanized laundry services.
