Matson Navigation honored by Logistics Management

Hawaiis largest shipper, Matson Navigation Co., has been ranked fourth of 14 domestic and international ocean carriers honored by Logistics Management magazines annual Quest for Quality award.

The annual survey is considered an important measure of customer satisfaction and performance excellence in the transportation and logistics industry. More than 4,500 readers participated in the 2011 survey, according to the magazine.

It is the ninth year that Oakland, Calif.-based Matson, a subsidiary of Honolulu-based Alexander & Baldwin Inc
